Saint Patrick:
• Kidnapped
• Enslaved
• Found God in isolation
• Escaped
• Went back to serve
• Lived with purpose
St. Patrick’s Day (2026):
• Buy green plastic crap you’ll throw out tomorrow
• Drink green beer because… everyone else is
• Dress the same as everyone else
• Call it “celebrating Irish culture”
😂
Not judging — just observing the plot twist.
Somewhere along the way we took a man who represented resilience, faith, and transformation…
and turned his day into a mix of consumption + conformity + coping.
I’m (a little bit) Irish ☘️
And I’ve been thinking about something Gabor Maté talks about:
A lot of addiction isn’t about the substance…
it’s about the pain underneath it.
Ireland has a deep history of hardship.
And somehow we landed on a holiday that basically says:
“Let’s all drink.”
Again — not judging.
But it’s kind of wild when you zoom out.
Also… he probably wore blue.
Maybe this year looks like:
• buy less, experience more
• one intentional drink instead of ten
• connection over consumption
Or don’t.
Do your thing 😂
Just know… Patrick probably wasn’t rocking dollar store plastic hat energy.
