Often we pray for something, yet when the answer arrives it does not appear in the way we expected. Because it does not look exactly like what we asked for, we may ignore it or dismiss it. We then believe our prayer was not heard, when in fact the opportunity may already be in front of us.
Sometimes the response to our prayers comes in a different form, through a person, an unexpected event, or a new direction. If we are too focused on a specific outcome, we may overlook these subtle answers and miss the very opportunity we were asking for.
Stay aware and open. The answer may not always come in the form you imagined, but it may still lead you exactly where you need to go.
There is a nice story about a Drowning Man
A fellow was stuck on his rooftop in a flood. He was praying to God for help.
Soon a man in a rowboat came by and the fellow shouted to the man on the roof, “Jump in, I can save you.”
The stranded fellow shouted back, “No, it’s OK, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me.”
So the rowboat went on.
Then a motorboat came by. “The fellow in the motorboat shouted, “Jump in, I can save you.”
To this the stranded man said, “No thanks, I’m praying to God and he is going to save me. I have faith.”
So the motorboat went on.
Then a helicopter came by and the pilot shouted down, “Grab this rope and I will lift you to safety.”

So the helicopter reluctantly flew away.
Soon the water rose above the rooftop and the man drowned. He went to Heaven. He finally got his chance to discuss this whole situation with God, at which point he exclaimed, “I had faith in you but you didn’t save me, you let me drown. I don’t understand why!”
To this God replied, “I sent you a rowboat and a motorboat and a helicopter, what more did you expect?”

What Do We Really Want?
At some point, we all need to pause and ask ourselves an honest question: What do I really want? Not the casual wishes we mention in passing “it would be nice to have this,” or “one day I might do that.” Those thoughts carry little energy. What truly matters is what we feel deeply passionate about, because passion is the force that activates both our conscious and subconscious mind.
When something genuinely matters to us, it doesn’t stay as a vague idea. It becomes a feeling, a pull, an inner knowing. Passion gives intention weight. It stimulates the subconscious, which is the part of us that constantly influences our actions, decisions, and perceptions. When the subconscious is engaged, we naturally begin to move toward what we desire often without forcing or struggling. Opportunities appear, ideas flow, and we start to notice possibilities that were always there but previously unseen.
This is where our environment becomes an ally. Once we are clear about what we truly want, we can consciously use our space to support that intention. Feng Shui is not about luck or superstition; it is about creating harmony between our inner world and our outer surroundings. Our home and workplace are constantly communicating with our subconscious. If our space supports clarity, flow, and balance, it reinforces the intentions we hold within.
Why would we not use every possible support available to us? We use tools, mentors, and knowledge to achieve our goals our environment should be no different. When our space aligns with our intention, it acts like a silent partner, continuously reminding and encouraging us at an energetic level.

Everyone is practicing Feng Shui whether we are aware of it or not. We all create our immediate environment, which is our home or workspace. The difference between a person that is aware and one that is not, is that a person which is aware, will create what he or she desires in life, hence will apply the basic rules of Feng Shui, by consciously making use of the natural flow of energy, the physical elements of Fire, Earth, Metal, Water and Wood as well as the seasons.
To the person that is not aware,
It seems that there is only one path and one destiny.
To the person that is aware,
There are many paths and many destinies, nothing is fixed.
