I have a passion for women's health and working with children. This is at the root of many of my practices with an emphasis on supporting women through prenatal care, birthing and beyond. I also work within preschools and playgroups and treasure the opportunity to introduce the ancient concepts of yoga to children and their families..

Yesterday, I sat with one of my teachers, Myra Lewin, listening to her speak on Āyurveda and the six stages of disease. I am always taken by her grace, grounded wisdom, and clarity.

It was not lost on me that we also sat beneath the quiet gaze of Shiva, the destroyer and transformer. I felt an invitation to let the past fall away, to burn through old stories, habits, and attachments that keep the body and mind in cycles of dis-ease.

In Ayurveda, we come to understand that true health begins not just with herbs or diet, but with courage… the courage to destroy what no longer serves, and to step into a new chapter of self-care and conscious living.

A sacred ending that marks a beautiful beginning.

Come soften. Come remember…
Limited spaces, because transformation asks for intimacy.

Does living an Ayurvedic and yogic life mean everything is soft, serene, and untouched by chaos? Not at all.

These teachings don’t promise calm, they teach us how to return to it. They remind us that the path is not about escaping the storm, but learning to stand in the rain with grace.

Sometimes, walking in alignment can be confronting for those still searching for theirs.
Your peace may hold up a mirror.
Your light might stir the shadows.
And yes, that can be lonely.

But even here, we practice.
We breathe instead of bite.
We choose compassion when it would be easier to close.
We remember that love is the higher discipline.

Ayurveda and yoga aren’t about being untouched by life,
they’re about being fully in it,
anchored in truth,
awake in every moment.

Even when the whispers rise,
we stay in devotion.

There’s something brewing under this full moon…

A new way to see your practice, from the inside out.
A training designed for yoga teachers and devoted students ready to explore the invisible anatomy of yoga; the flow of prāṇa, the wisdom of Ayurveda, and the language of mantra, mudrā, and mind.

Enrolments for Prāṇa Maps: Āyurveda, Chakras, and the Art of Energetic Sequencing, open this Thursday.

This immersion counts as Yoga Alliance accredited Continuing Education hours for yoga teachers (50-hour training) and, yes, students of yoga are welcome too.

The oil in abhyanga isn’t just a medium, it’s medicine. It’s a form of nourishment that reaches deep into the tissues, calming the nervous system, balancing the doshas, and bringing the body back to its natural intelligence.

The quality of the oil matters, profoundly. I use organic black sesame oil as the base for my treatments because of its purity, potency, and the care in its sourcing. Black sesame oil is revered for its grounding, warming nature and its ability to penetrate the deepest layers of the skin, carrying with it the healing intelligence of the herbs it’s infused with.

In abhyanga, we use oil generously. The body needs to feel enveloped, protected, and softened, this is how the nervous system learns to trust again.

When the oil is pure, the herbs are alive, and the intention is loving, the treatment becomes a sacred dialogue between body, mind, and spirit.

Make sure you jump online and visit they have incredible Ayurvedic oils for your self abhyanga practice as well!

Jai Guru Deva

You will have heard me say this many times, you might have even replied, Jai Guru Deva may be used as a greeting but it is not a ‘hello’. Its meaning runs deep and its roots stretch back over 5000 years.

In Sanskrit, Jai means victory or praise.
Guru translates as the remover of darkness, gu (darkness) + ru (remover).
And Deva means the shining one, the divine radiance that brings light.

Jai Guru Deva = Glory to the divine teacher, the light that lifts us from ignorance to awareness.

But as my teacher Thom Knoles explains, this phrase isn’t only for a person.
It’s an acknowledgment of learning itself. A bow of gratitude to every experience that’s taught us; joy, heartbreak, challenge, stillness, silence.

When I say “Jai Guru Deva,” I’m saying thank you to life as the teacher.
To every moment that’s guided me closer to truth, presence, and peace.

It’s more than words.
It’s a reminder to stay teachable.
To meet each day with reverence and humility.
To keep letting the light in.

Jai Guru Deva.

Only 4 spots left for our Summer Cooking Workshop!

Sunday the 23rd November
10:30am - 1:30pm

This hands-on experience explores how your body’s seven tissues (dhatus), from plasma and blood to muscle, fat, bone, marrow, and reproductive tissue, are continuously nourished by the food you eat.

When we understand how each tissue is built from the one before it, we learn how to feed our vitality at its roots.

You’ll discover the six tastes of Ayurveda, learn how to balance them for your unique constitution, and make your own ghee, kitchari, and summer spice blend to support digestion, energy, and overall wellbeing.

A beautiful blend of knowledge, nourishment, and hands-on practice, perfect for anyone wanting to eat with the seasons and deepen their understanding of Ayurvedic nutrition.
