This … SWIHA’s most recent I AM Yoga Therapy (Yoga Body Psychology) practitioners. They showed up again and again and again… and embraced transformation even when it was full of dis-ease and edges. So very proud of each of you❣️ 🔥

A walk in the trees while in India last month, brings me to the awareness of the opportunity to simply be with nature, ourselves and our experiences.

Finding our own ways in our own time - to be in the present moment - in midst of it all. Whatever that may be for you today.

Encouragement for myself and to you.
May presence sustain us. 💚

A brief retrospective - from the best ginger tea to ancient temples in Tabo, from the Ganges to the Narmada rivers, walking along the village roads to sitting with Babaji, elephants to petroglyphs, 15,049 feet to sea level, honking traffic standstills to serene lush countryside, and more, this adventure now returns me to Phoenix. The invitation remains as a reminder- Carpe Diem🙏🏽

💚 Five Weekends at Southwest Institute of Healing Arts 💚
Experience the joy of deeper hands-on study.

IN PERSON - I AM Yoga Therapy* 100 hr. Certification with Rhonda Vroman.
🗓️ October 29, Nov.1/2, Nov. 14-16, 21-23, Dec. 4-6 & 10-12

I AM Yoga Therapy™/Yoga Body Psychology is designed to not only treat visible physical symptoms, but is aimed at addressing the invisible blocks that contribute to them. Using gravity supported, static poses held by the facilitator, or with the use of the wall or props, you will learn how to surface and release blockages held in the physical, mental or emotional body zones. This rejuvenating and releasing experience enhances your understanding of the energetic aspects of yoga and how to use it for yourself and others as one of the most profound healing modalities you will ever encounter. You will learn to facilitate various experiences to listen to the energy messages of the body, and how to healthfully integrate and release emotions for yourself and others.
*As developed by Kamini Desai

🌿 "My body needed to Power Down."
That’s what my four-year-old grandson said after suddenly sitting cross-legged in the middle of a busy California sidewalk.

No meltdown. No fuss. Just a simple, wise statement — one that has echoed in me ever since.

His unexpected pause reminded me how often we override the body’s gentle invitations to rest… until they become demands.

💫 I wrote about that moment, and how it continues to guide my own practice of conscious living — including the creation of the Being Well Library, a space of support for those who also need to power down… and gently rise again.

🧘‍♀️ Inside the post:
✨ The full sidewalk story
✨ A free 21-min guided Yoga Nidra practice
✨ A 30-day trial of the Being Well Library (code: BEWELL)
✨ My personal update before heading to India for five weeks of rest & reflection

May you find moments to pause, listen, and let the body lead.
With love, light, and presence,
Rhonda

Touched by Trees, Carried by Community: A New Musing on Even Being

It rained last night. It is Father’s Day…the first Father’s Day since my Dad’s passing on Memorial Day.

The walk in the forest feels particularly fresh. The smells of growth and the harmony of scents given off by trees, bushes, and grasses all move together symbolizing new earth birth. It feels grounding and rising up at the same time.

It feels connected, in much the same way I feel re-anchored, opened, expanded and fresh. Like I’ve been washed with gentle rain-love for several days, nourishing body, soul, and spirit in a way that meets my thirst line.

I knew I was thirsty, but didn’t know parts of me were parched. And did not recognize just how much this replenishment, and re-plugging into community that I readily connect with, anchors me at this stage of healing and exploration.

And I am grateful.

I make no plans or even inquiry as to how this will continue to unfold upon my return tomorrow. But I do know that the time away, apart, and connected has nourished me in a way my roots could sink in deeply. I was invited to receive the abundance of what was offered with receptivity and did so to my capacity.

“Grateful” doesn’t describe how I feel and it suffices. Thank you.

A couple of weeks ago, I had a boo-boo. Well, that’s not quite right, I took action that resulted in the unintentional boo-boo.

I cut my finger on a very sharp piece of equipment. The equipment was new. I wasn't using proper safety, so that is my choice. And, I sent the piece of equipment back shortly after it happened.

What I'm wondering about is this idea of removing—in this case—the cause or the source of the injury, the source of the pain. Actually removing that. Which I did externally…. Yet it is rarely about the external.

Our ongoing journey in life is to get to the root, to get to the source of the resistance, of the tension, of the avoidance that often lies deep within us... to get to the root of that.

By allowing these things that happen externally to welcome us into that place of interiority where we can witness what is happening, where we can feel those places in the body where we're being held, where we're unnecessarily storing things. And that is the beauty of practices like Yoga and Breath therapy.

Yes, it looks at the surface—in this case, my little finger—but it moves further down into where that really resides. For example, my relative nonchalance with safety, despite the safety equipment being provided and a warning during that mornings hike from a dear friend, might have a lot to do with how I was showing up that day...
