Live music venues were the first to close due to COVID-19 and will be among the last to reopen. Showbox staff have been out of work since March 11, 2020. With this special mask designed with tickets from past Showbox shows, Howard & Marge Boutique will donate net sales proceeds to buy groceries for the Showbox staff. The money will further circulate through our local economy, as Showbox staff will use these funds to buy food from local PNW farmers and distributors. We are grateful to have such a supportive community of family, friends, fans, and fellow artists who are willing to come together to support and their cause. I just wanted to express my gratitude to everyone who tuned in to last night’s Founders Award broadcast. MoPOP’s fundraising goal was $250,000. We raised over $600,000 last night alone. This will help the museum continue its great work during this very challenging time. Thank you to all of the amazing artists, many of whom we are lucky to call friends, who showed up for us. Thank you to Jason Koenig, the show’s director, and his team for putting together an outstanding program. Thank you to everyone on Team AIC for their tireless efforts. Thank you to MoPOP for hosting us and honoring us in such an incredible way. And, most of all, thank you to all our fans. Without you, NONE of what we do is possible. Thank you for giving your time and your generous donations, not to mention your undying support through all the years.
