The village kitchen experiment harvested turkey tail mushrooms today to turn into a nutritional immune boosting broth. We spent time identifying with books and a magnifying glass until we were all confident. It’s simmering away in a slow cooker now. In the meantime we made a delicious mushroom (Aldi) and spinach pasta for a grand total of £8 and fed 20 people! Come along and join us on Thursday mornings, drop a message directly so we can let you know which weeks we are there.

Following on from the success of our Village Autumn Evenings, we will be welcoming in the spring with Village Evenings beginning on Thursday 26th March, 6-8pm. There will as always be an invitation to jam in the roundhouse or get crafty with the craftivism. There will also be some herbs and gardening on the medicine garden. You are welcome to move between all of the offerings or just sit and soak in the atmosphere or have a chat. All ages welcome. Our first theme of the year will be air..... so songs about air, or thoughts around air pollution invited to add into the music and crafts.
Looking forward to seeing you all there. No need to book, just turn up on the day. If you would like more information or to be added to the village information whatsapp groups please email caz@ekhocollective.com

It has been a little while since we've had to deal with vandalism on site at Hawbush, but this week someone came well prepared, broke into a secure container and stole valuable tools and equipment. Please support our friends and colleagues if you can, to help them replace much needed equipment and secure the site from future theft and vandalism. Importantly let us know if you hear anything or see sales of bulk gardening and outdoor equipment locally, so we can inform the police. Onwards and upwards!

We’re absolutely gutted to announce that we’ve had a break-in overnight.
Thieves broke into our onsite container and stole over £4,000 worth of tools and equipment.

We won’t let this stop us — but we’re asking our neighbours and wider community to please stay alert. If you see anyone suddenly in possession of, or trying to sell, large amounts of gardening equipment (including hedge strimmers or high-quality lawn mowers), please let us know.

We've set up a fundraiser to try and recoup some of the costs of replacing equipment, as well as to sure up the security on the gardens. https://gofund.me/584e6a92c

If you see or hear any unusual activity on the gardens between 9pm and 8am, please report it — either to us on 07763 617576 or directly to the police.

Thank you for standing with us. The garden belongs to the whole community and we will rebuild it together. 💚
