Praise His Name!
Praise the God I serve and may He get all the GLORY for this post!
Look I am standing/walking WITOUT any kind of assistance! As of yesterday my physical therapy team told me that I no longer need to walk with assistance. No more wheelchair and no more walker!!!!!!!!
4 month ago I came into this rehabilitation center not able to get myself out of bed, I could not walk, had to use a wheelchair, had to use a walker, fell multiple times and even cracked a few ribs from falling. I had no strength in my lower body. I ended up with Covid and pneumonia and in the hospitals on a vent for a week or so. I was a MESS!!!
I reluctantly checked into Continental Manor in Blanchester and began my journey to get back to a place to where I could walk again.
The staff has been amazing and they have taken GREAT care of me. They have pushed me on days when all I wanted to do was stay in bed. They have worked closely with me everyday to get me back on my feet.
I am thankful for the staff and this facility.
I started back on Chemo a few weeks ago and will have it every 3 weeks as maintenance treatment indefinitely. The Chemo was very rough on me and I was very sick. I had to get fluids a few times and really had a rough week or so.
I go Tuesday for treatment again. Please pray with us that the side effects are not as bad this time around.
I will be staying at the rehab facility. They can give me fluid and keep an eye on me. I want to be home so bad but staying here is the right move for myself and my family at this time. Maybe soon!
As far as an update on the cancer - it is still there but as of my last scan it was shrinking! Praise His name!!!
