In my 20’s and 30’s I remember making “resolutions”. Most were about achievements, $, work, weight and health, acquisitions of things.
Now it seems better for me to enjoy the freshness of optimism that comes with a new year and of an appreciation for a deepening union with God, others and all I’ve been given.

I did likely achieve some of those early resolutions. Maybe they even have had a lasting impact on my life. I don’t know. But I do believe today that the best thing I can do is to improve my conscious contact with the God that presides over us all.
