Happy World Breastfeeding Week!

This is a great time to reflect on your breastfeeding journey whether it lasted days, weeks, months, or years! Celebrate your accomplishments 🤱🏻
I’m thankful for the team of support that helped me along, 💗 without the encouragement of a skilled NICU nurse I’m not sure my breastfeeding journey would have started off well.
If you need encouragement or support in your journey, reach out! We have a great community of providers in the Grand Forks area that can collaborate to help you.

👋Hey friends, new class dates just listed at grandforks.birthfit.com. The next postpartum class starts on Tuesday! Join me💚

This series is designed for women 5-12 weeks postpartum, and can be applicable at later stages of postpartum healing if you haven’t intentionally approached recovery and rehab. We'll start with breath work and establish a solid movement foundation while honoring your body, mind, and your parenthood journey.
Bonus, it's virtual and can be done from the comfort of home. If you're interested in in-person postpartum classes or care, connect with me by email.
You can also find me at offering care for all ages with a focus on pediatrics, prenatal and postpartum.

At BIRTHFIT, we love to enhance range of motion and flexibility. Hello STRETCHING! When done daily, not only does stretching enhances your body's range of motion, but it also enhance blood flow and lymphatic drainage. Stretching can help ease pregnancy aches and pains.

We recommend adding more movement into your daily life like stretching. A daily stretching ritual is a relaxing way to start and finish your day plus connect with your body.
3 Tips to safe stretching 🤰🏻

-Hold each pose or stretch for 10 to 20 breaths.
-Nasal breath while you're in a pose or stretch.
-Listen to your body and work within your range of motion.

Flashing back to baby stage💚

Did you know some babies are born with a diastasis (separation of abdominal muscles) and that it resolves through natural movement patterns? As they grow and begin to move they strengthen their core which allows them to roll, turn, crawl, sit and eventually walk.
We apply some of these movements and principles when we approach postpartum rehab!
