Day 3 at brought leadership, learning, and celebration.

From the ASCFS Linton A. Whitaker Lecture and ACPA Business Meeting to honoring CPCJ scholarship and award recipients, the day highlighted the people shaping the future of cleft and craniofacial care.

The Exhibit Hall wrapped up, conversations continued at the Advocacy Town Hall and across educational sessions, and we closed it out at the Closing Night Celebration. 🎉

One more half day to go—and we’re already looking ahead to Toronto in 2027.

Day 2 at delivered a full day of learning, connection, and meaningful conversation.

We kicked off with a powerful keynote from Mary L. Marazita on the etiology of orofacial clefts, followed by a packed schedule of educational sessions where attendees dove deeper and shared ideas.

Cleft care coordinators connected around what’s working (and what’s not), while sessions on social media’s impact and our lived experience panel brought important perspectives to the forefront.

The Exhibit Hall remained busy, and the Cleft Courage Bear continued to spread joy and inspire generosity through Courage Mail. 💜

The 2026 Annual Meeting kicked off with a powerful first day centered on inspiration, connection, and purpose.

We listened to an inspiring keynote from reminding us to call our shot and go after our goals, followed by a powerful Q&A with his film director, Tanner Christensen, that brought his story even deeper to life.

Throughout the day, the Exhibit Hall was buzzing, connections were forming, and the Courage Bear was hard at work—helping spread joy while attendees gave back through Courage Mail, sharing heartfelt messages on Courage Cards. 💜

We were also honored to hear from artist Katie Manning during the Opening Ceremony and see her work up close as part of the upcoming tour.

An incredible first day filled with inspiration, community, and purpose. Let’s keep it going. 💥

We’re proud to highlight 2026 ACPA Visiting Scholar, Dr. Zana Aziz, during his visit to Nationwide Children’s Hospital Cleft Lip & Palate Center / Center for Complex Craniofacial Disorders.

Dr. Aziz, an orthodontist visiting from Iraq, is participating in this international exchange to further advance cleft and craniofacial care through collaboration, education, and shared expertise.

The ACPA Visiting Scholars Program fosters global connections, bringing together professionals dedicated to improving outcomes for patients and families around the world.
