Congratulations to our competition winners Mr and Mrs Derbyshire! They were first measured and fitted in new walking boots by boot fitters at Whalley Warm and Dry and then saw Liz at our on-site clinic for biomechanical assessment, pressure plate gait analysis and hand-built custom insoles.

"These days, because of ill health, I have to stick to fairly flat paths. Burton Mere fits that bill for me, and it's an absolutely beautiful corner of the Wirral. The path is magical, especially when the dragonflies are flying around. As you can see in this photo, this particular section is like stepping into a fairy story. We named this spot 'the enchanted wood'.

With my limited abilities, it's a place where I can get out in nature, go at my own slow pace and just enjoy being outdoors."
