You studied.
You understood it.
You even explained it to someone the night before.
Then you sit down to write the test… and your mind goes completely blank.
This is incredibly common with ADHD and performance anxiety, and most people blame their memory.
But it’s usually not a memory problem.
When your body goes into stress, your brain switches systems. The state you learned the material in is different from the state you’re in during the exam — so recall shuts down.
In this video I explain:
• why stress blocks memory
• why ADHD intensifies test anxiety
• how to bring your brain back into recall mode
• what to do right before starting an exam
These same ideas also apply to interviews, presentations, and public speaking.

If you’ve experienced this before, I’m curious — did your mind ever suddenly clear after you calmed down?
