The past couple of weeks have been wild.
We've dealt with broken down motorcycles on the side of the road, balancing holiday parties with client work, managing some health challenges, and navigating those inevitable holiday family dynamics.
More than once, I just wanted to pull the covers over my head and call a rain check on everything.
But amidst the chaos, I had this moment of pure gratitude for how our family navigates stress.
My kids have grown up with a somatic "language." They understand their nervous systems in a way I didn't until I was an adult. It’s just embedded in how we communicate.
This week, my oldest son really showed me the power of this awareness.
He was totally overwhelmed leading up to a big choir concert—legitimately hiding under the covers, stressed out. But he used the tools we practice, shifted his state, and ended up having a blast performing on stage. 🎤✨
Watching him navigate that shift from overwhelm to engagement, all within a week, was a powerful reminder that these practical body-based techniques really work—not just in theory, but in real, messy life.
I love that he has that resilience built in. 🙌
It’s these simple, grounded moments that keep me committed to this work. Because everyone deserves to know how to move through stress with a little more grace.
That ability to tap into our inner guidance is everything. If you've ever felt stuck in cycles of stress or overwhelm, you might be dealing with subtle self-sabotaging habits that are keeping you there.
I put together a free "Sabotaging Habits Quiz" and a guide to tuning into your inner compass. It’s the perfect first step to building the resilience I’m talking about.
