What is Biodynamic CranioSacral Therapy (BCST)?
♡A gentle, trauma resolution therapy
♡A way to come home into safety in the body
♡A way to soften into deep stillness
♡A way to remember and come into contact with our inherent health blueprint
♡A way to heal and regulate the nervous system
♡A way to come out of fight or flight
♡A way to come out of freeze, shutdown and dissociation
♡A gentle way to come out of survival mode that you may have been in your whole life
And so much more.
What does a BCST session look like?
The client lays fully clothed on a massage table with a bolster under their knees, a weighted blanket on them, and a pillow under their head. The practitioner prompts them to breathe deeper and come into their body sensations. To tune in with places of health in the body. The practitioner places their hands on the clients body, attuning to and listening to their system, noticing nervous system tone, heart rate, subtle rhythms, fascia and muscle tone. Listening to the rhythms of the fluid flow in the body (the blood, the Lymph, and most importantly the cerebrospinal fluid), and how its flowing in the body. The practitioner is grounded and rooted in presence, holding a safe neutral field where healing can occur.
As the client deepens into the process, they become more and more relaxed, eventually coming into a stillpoint in their system?
What is a stillpoint ?
A stillpoint is when the entire system slows to a stop. When no sensations can be felt in the body. Just complete stillness. The body loves this. This is the void space from which dynamic health emerges. The stillpoint can last 30 seconds to a few minutes. Then.... suddenly.... the system seems to reboot and a new pattern emerges. A more regulated, balanced pattern. And a wave of health and vitality emerges. The system opens and softens. A holistic shift emerges.
Our bodies love to be listened to. To be held. In safe neutral space. Our bodies have their own language and they want to express themselves to a listening body. To tell the story of the traumas, the emotions, the patterns that its been holding on to. Once it feels witnessed and heard, the body feels safe to release layers of trauma, tightness, tension, pain, and maybe even karma.
A teacher of mine said "craniosacral therapy is one of the fastest ways to resolve our karma"
It is because our bodies hold these layers. Our sacred vessels hold a living breathing story. A human body is a complex mosaic of hyper arousal in some areas (usually felt in the brain stem, cranial nerves, Vagus nerve pathway, in a tight diaphragm and psoas). In tension and tight fascia. Then there are areas of freeze, shutdown and dissociation in places that our body was not able to process something. But holding and gently attuning to these places our bodies can bring these places back online with the whole system.
The idea is wholeness. Connection. An open system. A relaxed and safe system. We all deserve that.
In our western culture, we live most of our lives in our heads, in our mental constructs. We often ignore the body and its messages. And our bodies desperately want to be heard and connect with us. They want us to listen. So they can be heard and then release.
Its so simple, yet its not easy.
To really just lie there and be held.
Its so vulnerable
So relational.
To just receive
And melt
And unwind.
Our minds may race at first touch.
But soon our bodies will soften into remembrance
Of being held safely
Thats all it takes
To come back into divine health
I am here to help guide you back into your body, back into your inherent wellness, your inner knowing and safety that our bodies so crave. To guide you into deep stillness. Into the void space.
To live from a place of regulation is to open your being to the abundance and blessings of the universe
To live in chronic stress is to contract, to shut down, to close off. The system runs on endless feedback loops and is never able to settle.
What would life look like to be regularly settled?
Let me show you how.
Its bliss!
