I started this page over 10 years ago when my girls were little as a way to share clean food recipes. Then it turned into my business page for sharing my menu. Since closing The Cider Tree I haven’t posted but my love for clean easy and delicious food hasn’t waivered. A friend asked about moving from coffee to tea. Anyone who knows me knows that I have an obnoxious love for coffee. It is my life line to all that is good in the morning. In the afternoon I have a love hate relationship with coffee. I get that afternoon fatigue and tend to reach for the coffee. This perks me up a little and then I crash around supper time. Not a good time for a lack of energy and crabby caffeine drop. I've tried to switch over to tea but I feel I will never be willing to completely give up my coffee. 💗☕️💗 mmm coffee. I am a little bit of a tea j***y as well. I like to have options! I want lots of fresh flavor! I also want quick and easy prep!! I want the very best with the least amount of fuss!😁 This for me requires a couple things. I am not a gadget girl. If things are more work than help they must go! Very few trinkets and gadgets last more than a few months at my house, if they even make it in. These items at keepers!

1. Electric kettle-buy one. You will love it, trust me!
2. French press- I use this for coffee and tea-💗
3. Mason jars- storing leftover tea/coffee in fridge.

*** Put loose leaf tea in french press, fill kettle with water, turn on. Pour hot from kettle into french press and press strainer down- tadaaaah, tea!!!
Put remaining tea (if any) in Mason jar and store in fridge).

HONEY! Yummy local honey for your tea! This will help boost up your late afternoon low blood sugars and it has so many health benefits, and it tastes good😉.
A few of my favorite teas are
lavender & chamomile, sweet nutcracker, bramblewine and spiced chai.
A hot cup of tea with a little honey and I get a little energy pick up that lasts far longer than a cup of coffee.

Not the best picture, but I was hungry so this is the best you get when I'm hungry and impatient 😁😜. This broccoli will change your life! Well maybe not, but it's amazing and my children eat it like it's chocolate ! 😳😁💗. Fresh broccoli. Rinse. Cut off stems. Lay on sheet pan and drizzle with melted coconut oil. Sprinkle with sea salt, cracked pepper and minced garlic (or garlic powder). Bake on 450 for 20 minutes. Turn all the pieces over and drizzle with melted grass-fed organic butter and roast 20-30 mins. Can be topped with fresh shredded parmesan. I also had pan seared garlic chicken in the bowl :) yummmy!!

Steamed artichokes, one of our favorite snacks. If the girls catch me eating this they will end up devouring it and not share. Ha!! The How-To in comments 😊

Chicken tacos are a staple in our house. One of the easiest meals and allows me to offer various veggies for the kids to add to their plate. I recently made a huge batch of chicken tacos and had left over chicken so I froze it in 6 cup containers. We had a busy weekend and I was looking for a quick and easy dinner last night. Left over taco chicken and a few veggies... and you have a delicious soup!

Lasagnas are one of my favorite summer time meals. So easy to make and can really be packed full of vegetables. This recipe can be varied to use up any veggies or cheeses you may have. Adding meat is also an easy addition. Enjoy!!
