This is such a simple and free technique that can help you feel better - fast! 🙌

I remembered this last week after I felt my body go into a fight/flight response and panic set in and my breathing became shallow. This works so fast and really helps if you feel shock set in.

How it works: 👇

Submerging hands in cold iced water lfor 10–30 seconds to a few minutes rapidly reduces anxiety by triggering the parasympathetic nervous system and the vagus nerve. This grounding technique interrupts panic by forcing focus on immediate sensation, lowering heart rate, and releasing endorphins. 🩵

It’s quite painful but try to breathe right through it and rotate your hands for at least 15 seconds. 👌

If you’re feeling heightened or overwhelmed by something happening in your life right now, try this technique. It’s one of my go to ways to stay present and calm my nervous system. It can really help bring your heart rate down and ground you in the moment.🙏

Sometimes the best techniques are simple and free.

We have longer morning and night mantras, and then we have mantras which can be used throughout the day.

How do I use our Box of Calm Daily Mantras?
Spread the cards out like a fan facing downwards
Ask your child to run their hand over the top of the pack with their eyes closed
Ask your child to choose the card that they feel most drawn to, which will be the mantra for the day
Who reads what?
Words to uplift: These are for your child to read OR the parent can read each line and have the child repeat after them.

Words to support: These are for the parent to read directly to the child to help build confidence.
