Wow!!! What an amazing transformation!!! One of the most impressive 4-month transformations we've seen.

To all of you who were told surgery, injections, and orthotics are the only option, there is another way worth considering. Natural footwear paired with Correct Toes and regular rehab exercises has helped so many people rid themselves of nagging foot pains and get their feet into better shape.

Foot update! It's been 4 months since I started the barefoot lifestyle and the process of bunion reversal. I was shocked to see the difference in my feet in such a short period of time. I still have bunion "bumps" and I have a looonnngg way to go. But I have so many positive changes for the better. My feet have spread out and actually grown a little (amazing what happens when you give them room to splay). I am starting to be able to move my toes individually. I can pick up a golf ball with my toes. I can spread my toes out by themselves. I can walk on gravel barefoot and it feels like I just had a massage rather than painful. And the best thing of all is that the neuroma I've had for the last several years in the ball of my left foot is almost non-existent. I've completely ditched conventional shoes with tapered toe boxes and have switched to barefoot/natural shaped footwear. My feet have never been this pain free. Top picture is today, bottom is 4 months ago. Thanks !

Balance...

Correct Toes work best when used while ACTIVE!

Wearing Correct Toes passively while sitting or resting can help provide some slight and subtle stretching to tight muscles in the foot, which can be helpful, but for lasting changes we need active muscle engagement.

Shoe-Shape vs. Foot-Shape...

Do your shoes fit your feet? 🤔 Not just the length, and not even the width, but the SHAPE 👣. Many shoes claim to be "wide," but are they wide in the right places? Most shoes, even "wide" model shoes, still taper to a narrow tip in the toe box. It doesn't take a rocket surgeon to understand that "toes squeezed together" is NOT a good position to be walking around in for a lifetime.

For most of us, the healthiest version of our foot is widest at the tips of the toes with the toe bones aligned with the foot bones.

It's astonishing how many shoes aren't shaped like healthy feet, so check your shoes now by doing the Shoe Liner Test.

If your shoes have a removable insole, take it out and stand on it.

Shift your weight onto that foot so you can observe your foot at its widest.

Does your entire foot and toes stay within the boundaries of the insole?

If possible, use your hands to position your toes into natural alignment. Reassess.

Here's an image that depicts where plantar forces can concentrate while standing and walking. This pedograph is a from Gait Happens and shows the difference Correct Toes can make in helping to more evenly distribute weight across the ball of the foot. If you have forefoot pain (i.e. metatarsalgia, Morton's neuroma, capsulitis, bursitis, etc.), consider Correct Toes to help encourage a more even weight distribution.

🙌 👀 A picture is worth a thousand words…

These pedographs were taken on two new patients. Both have pain in their middle metatarsal heads (one with numbness in the toes as well).

I love using pedographs as a learning tool with patients and here’s why:
When we took the first pedograph, patient B 🙍♂️: “Wow, that really dark spot is literally exactly where my pain is”
🙍🏼♀️ Me: Let’s try an experiment, I’m just curious… puts correct toes on and reprints
🙍♂️Patient B: “wow… that is incredible”

Being able to splay the toes and forefoot is crucial for distributing force across the ball of the foot. Now, do we have other things to address? Absolutely. But it’s good to have a tool on hand that can help to offload the metatarsals while we are building strength, increasing mobility, improving gait mechanics, etc.

📚🧠 Did you know Correct Toes were recently used in a research study published in the Journal of Sport Rehabilitation? 🦶⚖

This study examined how wearing Correct Toes toe spacers during daily activities for 4 weeks influences dynamic balance. Dynamic balance is the ability to balance while in motion or switching between positions; so, real-life balance—the type we use every day, the type that athletes use on the field/court, and the type that seems to lessen in the elderly.

One test group wore Correct Toes + Lems Primal 2, a second group wore just Lems Primal 2, and a control group wore just their own shoes. Results revealed significant improvements in dynamic balance for both the dominant and non-dominant legs for those who wore Correct Toes compared to those who didn't. There was no significant difference between the two groups without Correct Toes.
