There is a saying in Chinese Gongfu society:
Huó dào lǎo, xué dào lǎo
"Live until old, learn until old." Or more precise, "You are never too old to learn."
While the practice of Tai Chi has sometimes been thought to be an exercise for only old retired people, this is completely false. The truth is, through out history, Tai Chi and other Chinese martial arts begins almost as soon as the child is able to walk.
Tai Chi is a healing/martial art, which means, it maintains and improves our health physically, mentally, and spiritually!
While Tai Chi can be a fun social activity, it can also be challenging, especially for the beginner; the coordination, mental focus, memorization, will not happen overnight. But, the good news is, as long as you practice, it does not matter how unperfect your movement is, you will begin to receive the benefits of this very beautiful martial art practice. And, the more you learn, you realize, you have barely scratched the surface.
