Amy Hale Hypnotherapist and writer
I help people shift subconscious patterns through hypnotherapy and coaching. Sessions available online and in person.

I work with people who are stuck in some part of their lives due to anxiety, overthinking, and depression. I help them create a mindset that gives them relief from their previous struggles, so they can create a better, happier life.

There's a version of your story you've never told anyone. Not because you're hiding it.Because you don't fully have words for it yet.It lives just underneath the part of your mind that knows how to sit across from someone and explain itself. That's not a you problem. That's not a therapy problem. That's just where some things live. And that's exactly where this work goes.

Why Follow:
I'm Amy — hypnotherapist and coach. I work with people who are self-aware, have done the therapy, and are still carrying something they can't quite reach with conversation alone. If that's you, stick around.

If you've ever left a therapy session feeling like you talked around the thing instead of about it —
save this.
And if you're curious what working at that level actually looks like, the link in my bio is a good place to start.

I'm running a free 30-day challenge starting May 1st and I want you in it.

Not a gratitude journal. Not a positivity challenge. Just one good thing per day — however small, however hard it was to find.
I'm doing this because I need it. Hard winter. Life feeling heavier than usual. And I know the way back isn't one giant leap — it's one small thing, noticed, every day.

Here's what you get:
A short video from me every day.
One hypnosis audio per week.
A daily affirmation.
A small group of people doing the same thing at the same time.

Free. Starts May 1st. Just show up.

He came in already convinced it wouldn't work.
He'd done his research. Forums. Failure stories. Other people's pain — treated like a forecast for his own.
He was right. It didn't work.
Not because hypnotherapy failed him. Because he never actually arrived.
You can be talked out of your own healing by people who never healed. Someone else's stuck place is not a map for your journey.
You don't have to carry their story.
If you're ready, Link is in the bio.

She was literally scanning my office for the devil before her first session.
She quit smoking that day.
The fear of hypnotherapy is almost always scarier than hypnotherapy. And honestly? That fear is worth looking at too.
Save this if you're on the fence.

A real post. Changed names. There may have been an inside joke — I don't care.
Because joke or not, this is what dismissal looks like. It doesn't announce itself. It brings a corgi.
I unfollowed this person years ago. Everything on their feed was about money — healing as a revenue stream. Turns out how they see women was right there too. I just had to wait for a birthday.
You don't have to go looking for this. It's everywhere.

I'll be honest with you.
I just came out of a hard winter.
And I needed something to hold onto.
So I'm starting a challenge.
Not because I have it figured out.
Because I don't.
30 Days of One Good Thing starts May 1st.
Every day — one good thing.
However small.
However hard it was to find.
A lot of people tell me they have a hard time thinking of anything to be grateful for.
That's exactly why I'm doing this as a community.
Some days you'll need someone else to go first.
Some days that someone will be me.
It's free. It starts May 1st.

Ask AI to roast you and it will. Not because it's true — because you asked.
The mind in hypnosis isn't so different. It's cooperative. It wants to help you make sense of things. Which means if you come in looking for confirmation, you might just get a very convincing story.
That's not healing. That's not even accurate.
If you're carrying something heavy that doesn't have a name — you don't need to force open what your mind has been protecting. You need someone who can help you work with what's present right now.
That's what I do.

The doom scroll isn't always about anger.
Sometimes it's about going numb. Staying just stimulated enough to not have to feel what's actually underneath.
If you're frozen right now — going through the motions, disappearing into your phone, not really present to any of it — that's not apathy.
That's a nervous system that learned to protect you by going somewhere else.
You probably learned that young.
And the world right now is loud enough to wake all of it up.

People will tell you to budget.
Track it. Try harder. Be more disciplined.

But that only works
if the behavior is logical.

Most habits aren’t.

They’re regulating something.

Shopping, scrolling, overeating…
they all create a temporary shift in state.

Less pressure.
Less noise.
Less feeling.

Even if it only lasts a minute.

So when you try to remove the habit
without understanding what it’s doing for you…

your system resists.

Because now you’ve taken away the only thing
that was helping you cope.

That’s why it feels impossible to stop.

Not because you lack control.

Because something underneath it
hasn’t been addressed yet.

Change doesn’t start with stopping.

It starts with understanding
what the habit has been doing for you.

Why follow:
I help you understand why your patterns keep repeating – even when you’re self-aware – so change finally becomes possible.

The hoover only works if there's an opening. And if the opening is yours — so is the ability to close it. This is the work nobody talks about.

Why follow:
If you're done trying to figure them out and ready to figure out what's actually keeping you stuck — this is where that work happens.
