Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique

Integrated Amrita Meditation Technique Meditation is the art of mental mastery. The way we perceive the world around us completely depends upon our mind. The former is obviously impossible.

In our search for happiness, we essentially have two options—modify the entire world so that everything turns out exactly the way we want it or modify our mind so that we are able to be happy, content and peaceful, regardless of what happens in the external world. We have very little control over our external world. The only hope for happiness lies in controlling the inner world. Meditation is a key element in this process.

In today’s fast-paced world, stress has become a companion, affecting people from all walks of life. Recognizing the importance of inner balance and mental well-being, professors and students of St. Wilfred PG College, Jaipur participated wholeheartedly in an Integrated Amrita Meditation (IAM) workshop.
The session offered a wonderful opportunity for everyone to pause, breathe, and reconnect with themselves amid the hectic demands of academic and personal responsibilities.

The IAM Meditation Technique, created by Amma, is a simple yet powerful practice that brings mental clarity, emotional balance, and physical relaxation. For professors managing classes, research, mentoring, and family duties and for students balancing studies, exams, and future ambitions, IAM provides a much-needed space to unwind and recharge.

As Amma beautifully reminds us, “Relaxation is the art of making the mind still. Once you learn this art, everything happens spontaneously and effortlessly.”

Regular practice of IAM enhances concentration, patience, and inner calm—qualities that improve academic performance, teaching effectiveness, and overall well-being. It helps individuals respond to life’s challenges with awareness rather than stress.

We extend heartfelt appreciation to all the participants who embraced this practice and took a meaningful step toward cultivating a more peaceful, balanced, and purposeful life.

On the occasion of World Meditation Day, observed in alignment with the United Nations’ recognition of the importance of meditation for global well-being, IAM meditation practitioners from various countries united across time zones with a shared intention of fostering inner peace and contributing to harmony in the world.

A 30-minute guided meditation session was conducted by Brahmacharini Amritatmika Chaitanya and Brahmacharini Niseema, featuring Ma-Om Meditation and White Flower Meditation. Practitioners from different cultural and geographical backgrounds joined the session, embodying the universal spirit of meditation beyond borders.

These meditation techniques were lovingly created by Amma to strengthen and uplift one’s personal and private spiritual practice. Amma reminds us that in today’s world, both the human mind and nature are in an agitated state, and that only divine grace can help establish lasting peace—within ourselves and on this earth.
Through sincere prayer and meditation, we can each make a meaningful contribution to the present condition of the world. By evoking positive vibrations, we support harmony and well-being not only for ourselves, but for all beings.

Following the session, many practitioners shared that they felt calmer, lighter, and more centered. As we continue to nurture peace within, we take small yet sincere steps toward creating a more compassionate and harmonious world.

World Meditation Day reminds us that meditation is not a one-day observance, but a lifelong practice woven into our daily lives.
