Integrated Amrita Meditation (IAM20) workshop was organized for parents of Amrita Vidyalayam, KK Nagar, Chennai at Mata Amritanandamayi Math, Virugambakkam, Chennai. The workshop was inaugurated by Swami Vinayamritananda Puri, who shared the profound benefits of IAM meditation. He emphasized how regular practice of IAM helps in reducing stress, improving concentration, promoting emotional balance, and leading a more peaceful and meaningful life. The workshop was led by Brahmacharini Vagishamrita Chaitanya, certified IAM instructor and ably assisted Brahmacharini Chidroopamrita Chaitanya, Office of Youth Empowerment, Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, Amritapuri Campus.
Parents participated with great enthusiasm and the feedback was extremely positive. They said that the session was very impressive, well-organized, and easy to follow. “Relaxed, refreshed, blissful, peaceful, positive, stress free” were the words they used to describe their feeling after the workshop. Parents also expressed their gratitude for the opportunity and requested frequent weekend sessions, to help them continue the practice. They also requested IAM workshops for kids. Teachers shape not only young minds, but also young hearts. Recognizing the importance of inner balance in the life of an educator, the Integrated Amrita Meditation (IAM 20) training was conducted online for the teachers of Amrita Vidyalayam, Puthiyakavu.

In the midst of lesson planning, classroom responsibilities, and the emotional needs of students, teachers often place their own well-being last. IAM 20 offers a simple and practical way to return to inner calm. The 20-minute daily practice helps reduce stress, quiet the mind, and cultivate patience, clarity, and emotional stability, qualities that are essential in the classroom.

As teachers deepen their own inner awareness through meditation, its benefits naturally flow to the children they teach each day. A calm and centered teacher creates a classroom atmosphere filled with trust, attentiveness, and compassion. Participants joined from India and Portugal, bringing with them varied life experiences. In today’s fast-moving world, people carry many roles and responsibilities, often leaving little time to pause and breathe. The online Integrated Amrita Meditation (IAM 20) training offered such a pause, a sacred window where individuals from across the globe could turn inward, even while remaining fully engaged with their outer lives.

Participants joined from many countries, including an Ayurveda and yoga teacher from Switzerland, professionals working in the development sector and private firms in India, a coach from the Netherlands, a knowledge manager and a medical doctor from Germany, a Waldorf teacher from Croatia, a software engineer from the USA, and a retired participant from Italy. Though separated by geography and profession, all were drawn by a shared wish, to cultivate inner stillness through IAM 20.

Amma gently reminds us, “True happiness is already within us. Practice regularly. The Integrated Amrita Meditation (IAM 20) training was conducted online, bringing together participants from different parts of the world onto one shared platform. The group itself was beautifully diverse.

Participants included a self-employed professional from Germany, a freelance illustrator and an accountant from Australia, a pharmaceutical researcher and IT professional from India, a therapist and social worker from the USA, a trader and yoga therapist from India, a teacher from Canada, and others from varied walks of life. Though their professions and time zones were different, everyone came with the same intention, to learn IAM 20 and bring a few moments of stillness into their daily lives.

IAM 20 proved especially meaningful for busy professionals. Designed to be practiced in just 20 minutes, it fit naturally into even the most demanding schedules. Participants shared how the practice helped them feel calmer, more focused, and better equipped to handle stress, work pressure, and emotional challenges. Women play many roles in life and often balance multiple responsibilities simultaneously. Each role comes with its own challenges—from academic pressures and career ambitions to personal well-being and emotional health. Recognizing the importance of nurturing inner strength, a special IAM Meditation workshop was offered to girl students and professors of St. Wilfred College for Girls, Jaipur, Rajasthan.

The workshop provided a safe and supportive space to pause, breathe, and reconnect with oneself. It helped participants manage everyday pressures as well as deeper emotional stresses commonly experienced by women, including exam anxiety, lifestyle-related stress, and mental fatigue.
