5 Ingredient Peanut Butter Chocolate Cookies 🍪
If you are looking for a super easy, peanut buttery, chocolatey cookie with minimal ingredients and minimal mess, make these lil treats.
👍 Awesome for a low-key baking project with kids because there is no flour or baking soda involved to get everywhere. Not that I’m against those fun messes, but I’m all about keeping things simple right now...so these were perfect.
I’m not sure who to credit for the original idea for this genius recipe as I’ve seen many different variations using this flourless method. In fact, my mom used to make a delicious one at her NJ bakery and I think it was one of her best sellers! This is my take on it. A lot peanut buttery, lightly sweet, and chocolate swirly.
RECIPE 👇
1 cup PB (I used all natural - just peanuts + salt)
1 egg (or flax egg)
1/2 - 2/3 cup maple syrup (depending your sweet tooth)
1 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Mix peanut butter, maple syrup, and egg until smooth.
Add oats gradually until combined.
Microwave the chocolate chips in 30 second increments until melted. Let cool just slightly so it’s not hot, then gently swirl the chocolate into the batter.
Scoop cookies into 1-1.5 tbsp scoops onto a greased baking sheet, or one with parchment paper. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Cookies will be soft when done. While they are still warm you can flatten the tops with the back of a fork, creating a criss cross pattern. Or you can skip that step! Let cookies cool for at least 10-12 minutes
Makes 15-20 cookies depending on the size.
Devour! 😍 I love these with a glass of .
