Our group worked on general skills around fellow teams, heeling with a shopping cart, impulse control with food and fun distractions, and focus exercises. Good dogs! ♥️

🐾 Meet Rosco!

Our Sault Paramedics are excited to introduce their future OSID (Operational Stress Intervention Dog), Rosco. His name is inspired by “ROSC” (Return of Spontaneous Circulation) a moment when life returns. It’s a fitting symbol for the comfort, support, and connection he’ll bring to our teams and to the community.

Stay tuned for more updates (and lots of photos!) as Rosco grows into his new role. 💙🐶

K9CI Val and K9CI Viva work on their public access skills together! Even though these girls are best friends, it’s important that they recognize work from play. 🧐

Settling and being attentive to their handlers even though they are in each other’s presence is no easy feat for dogs that enjoy one another’s company and play. Here they demonstrate absolute composure despite all that!

We had an amazing time at the Niagara Falls Chili Cook-Off hosted by the hardworking Service Centre team! 🌶️❤️

It was wonderful reconnecting with Mayor Jim , who welcomed our organization and handlers back in 2022 for a group outing to enjoy the incredible attractions the Falls has to offer.

This year, we brought service-dog teams to support the cause, along with speakers who helped educate the public on the importance and life-changing benefits of service dogs. And of course… K9CI Roscoe, our OSID puppy in training, charmed absolutely everyone he met! 🐾✨

🎉 We are thrilled to share that $2,000 was raised to support a child in the Niagara Region in need of a service dog. We’re incredibly grateful to be the selected charity this year, and we look forward to training and providing a service dog to a child who needs one. ❤️🐕‍🦺

We look forward to your adventures you have together. We are absolutely thrilled that you both will be the first service dog team ever to travel to Jamaica! 🇯🇲 Safe travels!

Today we pause to give thanks and reflect on the sacrifices made by our Canadian Troops and their families. We continue to have immense gratitude not just today, but every day for those who continue to serve and protect and those we’ve lost.

Please take a moment to honour and support Canada’s Veterans by making an online donation to the Legion Poppy Fund. Proceeds go to mental and service dog programs for our Veterans and their families need and deserve.
