I first became aware of International Women’s Day when I was 18, studying in the beautiful city of Perugia in Italy. Throw-back photos from before the days of smart phones📱😬

Women were walking around with bouquets of mimosa flowers in the street for the Festa della Donna - it was a full-on celebration, and I remember naively wondering what all the fuss was about.

With (a few more) years of experience, of course I can now appreciate why this day is so significant.

So here’s to taking a moment today to celebrate the women in our lives, including ourselves. 🌼

Nothing like a bit of early morning sunshine to set you up for the day ☀️

I try to get out for a walk in all weathers because I always feel better for it afterwards - even when it’s raining. But there’s no denying it’s more enjoyable on mornings like this.

Walking might seem simple, but it’s one of the best forms of movement you can do. Some of the benefits include helping with weight management, boosting mood and energy, and supporting heart and bone health.

And if you’re new to exercise or getting back into it after a break, it’s a great place to start.

Yep - that “healthy” breakfast you pour every morning? It hits your blood sugar almost the same way sugar does.

Let’s be honest…nobody actually likes chia seeds. We just eat them because we’re constantly reminded they’re a superfood.

With these cleverly disguised chia pancakes, you get all the benefits - minus the icky texture. 🥞✨

3 ingredients:
• 1 banana, mashed
• 1 egg
• 1 tsp chia seeds

Spoon into a pan, cook for 3-4 mins on each side, and voilà - pancakes that sneak in protein, fibre & healthy fats.

These were breakfast…our dinner pancakes weren’t quite so healthy 😋🍫
