One of the first things I changed when I started paying attention to my metabolic health was how I was eating carbs and not whether I was eating them or not.
I used to grab fruit on the way out the door, have crackers as a snack, eat rice on its own and wonder why I felt foggy and hungry an hour later. I didn’t realize that my hormones were making me more sensitive to those blood sugar swings than I’d ever been before.
