A drone explosion caused a severe leg injury — massive bleeding, immediate danger.

Johanna Decker’s connection with Africa and wildlife protection began in childhood, shaped by her early experiences in Namibia and a deep awareness of the reality of poaching. Among all wildlife, rhinos hold a special place in her heart — inspiring her to protect what cannot protect itself. 🌍

Life in the field demands constant awareness, resilience, and readiness. As a trained paramedic 🚑, Johanna understands that in high-risk environments, preparation saves lives.

To support her work, Rhino Rescue shipped multiple professional rescue and medical devices to Johanna — equipment designed for harsh conditions and real-world emergencies. She also donated her personal Rhino Rescue IFAK to the APU rangers, who risk their lives every day protecting wildlife. In the field, dependable gear isn’t optional — it’s essential.

One unforgettable moment stays with her: feeding an orphaned baby rhino 🦏💔 — a powerful reminder of what’s at stake, and why protection matters.

Her message is clear: Everyone can make a difference. No action is too small.
