I’ve been thinking about a horse who shaped me more than I understood at the time.
His name was Dancer.
He nearly died once.
I nearly got crushed in the process.
And what followed changed how I listen — to my body, my intuition, and my own inner fire.
“The same wind that blows out a candle fuels a fire.” — Nassim Nicholas Taleb
The last few months have felt like that kind of wind.
Shifts in my body.
Old emotions surfacing.
Testing moments that ask:
Will this extinguish you — or strengthen you?
Dancer taught me something I’m remembering again now:
Fire does not need to destroy to be powerful.
It needs to be tended.
This new moon, I’m not pushing.
I’m orienting.
Listening.
Strengthening quietly.
If you’re navigating change — in your health, your relationships, your sense of self — this one might be for you.
I wrote about it in this week’s newsletter:
“What a Fire Horse Called Dancer Taught Me.”
