Ever feel like it’s all on you
deadlines, family, obligations — and somehow no one else is noticing?

You’re not failing.
You’re stuck in a pattern your nervous system has practiced for years.

Racing mind, tight shoulders, shallow breaths… autopilot taking over.

In my Integrated Breath & Life Coaching, we:

✨ Spot the patterns running beneath
your stress

✨ Use breathwork to calm your nervous
system and interrupt the loop

✨ Give you tools to choose differently —
protect your energy, presence, and
peace

This isn’t about meditating for hours or escaping life.

It’s about meeting yourself where you are — noticing,
pausing,
and reclaiming your power.

💚 Ready to stop spinning and start enjoying your life?

DM me — let’s break the loop together.

Have you just jumped out of bed?
What’s the rush?

07/11/2025

Step away from the screen for a moment.

Look up, look out — really see what’s around you.

Breathe in, breathe out, and feel yourself land back in your body.

Let your shoulders roll back and your spine lift tall.

Now, whatever you do next — do it from there.

That end‑of‑year rush again?

Deadlines, school concerts, office wrap‑ups, family plans — and somehow, it all lands on you.

You tell yourself,
“If I just get through the next week…”
“If I can just hold it together until the holidays…”

But here’s the uncomfortable truth:
You said the same thing last year.
And the year before that.

This isn’t just a busy season — it’s a pattern.
A loop of “It’s all on me.”
A story of over‑responsibility dressed up as strength.

And maybe — just maybe — a part of you secretly likes being the one everyone depends on.
Because it proves how capable you are. How strong. How needed.

But that constant doing?
It’s keeping you stuck in the same cycle of stress, exhaustion, and resentment.

Fabulous human — nothing changes until you do.
The moment you pause, breathe, and question the story running the show —
that’s when the pattern starts to crack.

You can’t shift what you don’t see.

💚 If this hits a little too close to home, it’s okay.
Awareness is where it begins.

Take a breath, drop the superhero cape for a minute — and let’s get honest about what this season is really costing you.

No wonder you feel small or not enough — comparison sucks the power right out of you.

It doesn’t motivate; it drains.

Comparison stunts your growth.

You’ve got your own breath — your own rhythm, timing, and path.

So why the hell are you comparing yourself to someone else’s?

Focus on being you.

Growth happens when you honour your own process, not someone else’s.

When I was in high school, I learned how to shrink — literally.
I’m tall. 6ft. 1.8 metres.

In a school filled with shorter boys, my height stood out — and not in a way that felt good.

I fell into comparison and came to the conclusion that my height was the issue — it scared people. No boy wanted to date the tall chick.

So I started to hunch. Rounded shoulders. Head down. Folded in on myself — trying to take up less space.

For years, I believed being smaller would make me more acceptable. More feminine. More likeable.

It took me years to understand that how I carried myself wasn’t just about posture — it was about permission and confidence ......and how it is all weaved together

Permission and confidence to
💛 exist fully.
💛 stand tall
💛 feel beautiful

What I wish I could have said back then was .....

“F*** you, little short s**t — I’m not shrinking to fit your idea of a beautiful woman
This is me. Take it or leave it” 🔥

So I am saying it now 😎

Since finding breathwork, I’ve realised something powerful:
Every time I shrank my body, I also shrank my breath.
You can’t breathe deeply when you’re hiding.

That posture doesn’t just compress your diaphragm and lungs — it compresses your permission, your confidence, your aliveness.

Now, when I feel my confidence slipping, I stand tall. I elongate my spine. I breathe deeply.
Every breath reminds my body: you’re allowed to take up space.

So if you catch yourself folding in, notice it. Not with shame — with awareness.
Straighten your spine. Take a deep, steady breath and look the world in the eye

That’s not arrogance. That’s remembrance.
You were never meant to be small.

Here’s a pattern I see over and over: we shrink.
Bite our tongue.
Smile when we want to scream.
Say “fine” when it’s not fine.

👆 This is the “let me be small” loop

Where does that come from?

Conditioning. From childhood.
From the scripts we were fed:
“Good girls don’t rock the boat.”
“Boys don’t show weakness.”
“Don’t be too loud, too emotional, too opinionated.”

Here’s the insight: this is exactly where “being small” lives. It’s a pattern that keeps us stuck—in fear, in risk avoidance, in safety mode—rather than taking full-life chances.

That inner voice says: “If I step up, I might fail or be hurt—so better stay small.”

And it’s not just in your head. It’s in your body. It’s in your breath.

😔 Every time you hold back, you reinforce the loop.

💛 Spotting the pattern is step one.
💛 Then, breathe. Take a loud sigh. Make a noise. Listen to yourself.

❣️ That small act starts breaking the loop.

WHY?

👉 Awareness reveals the pattern.
👉 Breath gives you the key to shift it.

MAYBE consider.......
In the moments you shrink. Ask: 👇
Who taught me that being small is safe?

💚 You don’t have to figure it out alone — let’s talk.

We often think playing small is just about confidence — not speaking up, not asking for what you want, holding yourself back.

But what’s actually happening runs much deeper.

When you “play small,” your nervous system doesn’t know you’re trying to be polite or keep the peace. It only registers a threat.

Every time you shrink, silence yourself, or hold your breath to stay safe, your body interprets it as danger.

Your breath becomes shallow. Your shoulders tighten. Your diaphragm lifts and locks.
This is not random — it’s biology.

And over time, this constant “bracing” becomes your default state. You start living in survival mode without realizing it — scanning, pleasing, perfecting, and calling it being “fine.”

Here’s the truth:

You might be safe from the world, but your body doesn’t feel safe within itself.

That’s why the breath is so powerful.

The moment you notice you’re shrinking, take one conscious, slow exhale. Let it travel down into your body.

You’re teaching your system: It’s okay. I’m safe now. I can take up space.

Some things never leave you.
For me, it’s working with kids.

After 30 years in education, I still light up when I get to walk into a space with young people—curious, busy, full of feeling—and help them understand that their breath is the most powerful tool they already have.

This week I get to bring breathwork into a school setting again—and what makes it extra special is that it’s not just about the children. Every child is connected to a parent, and when we support both, real change happens.

Trust me, I’ve been in the parenting arena—it’s beautiful, but it’s also brutal at times. Some days calm feels like a distant memory, and that’s exactly why learning to breathe on purpose matters.

Not every child fits neatly into the traditional school mold—and thank goodness for that. Some of the most sensitive, creative, and bright souls simply need spaces that see them differently. Little Oaks is one of those schools—a place that honours individuality, heart, and the kind of growth that can’t always be measured on paper.

Breath is simple, but it’s nothing short of marvelous.
And watching a child—or a parent—realise, “I can calm myself,”—that never gets old.

If you’re nearby, come be part of this special day.

Support the CANSA drive, visit Little Oaks, or simply come breathe with us—and feel what it’s like to be reminded of your own calm, clarity, and connection.

Hope to see you there

I’m really looking forward to this event.
We’ll be diving into something I believe everyone deserves to understand—how to use your own breath to handle everyday stress, big emotions, and those moments that just feel like too much.

This won’t be theory—it’s a practical, hands-on session where you’ll experience how simple breathing tools can calm your body, clear your head, and help emotions like frustration or worry move through instead of taking over.

Whether you’re a parent, teacher, or student, this is about creating calmer, more connected moments—at home and at school.

Come breathe with me.
