🗣️Vocal Health: Preventing misuse & abuse
Your vocal cords put in a lot of effort every day, whether you sing, speak professionally, or simply interact with friends.
🔑 Vocal Hygiene Tips:
- Keep your vocal cords lubricated by drinking plenty of water!
- Limit caffeine intake.
- Avoid eating too much spicy food.
- Give your vocal cords time to rest and recover.
- Try sipping water/ swallowing instead of constant throat clearing.
If you notice persistent hoarseness, pain, or discomfort, it’s time to check in with a speech therapist. Early intervention can prevent long-term damage. 💡
