Yin is often thought of as a “once-a-week class” but Yin is really a way of coming back to yourself.
It’s the deep breath at the end of a long day.
It’s slowing down when life asks you to rush.
It’s giving your body and nervous system the space to soften and reset.
The real benefits of Yin come when we allow ourselves these moments of stillness more regularly, not just once a week.
Your body needs movement, but it also needs pause.
Your mind needs doing, but it also needs being.

Today I treated my client, an athlete, who has been struggling with burnout.
After her session she sent me this screenshot, her Garmin registered the treatment as a nap because her nervous system dropped so deeply into rest!
