I came across this sign at the local pizza place the other day and thought it was a great reminder for any of us who are ever tempted to park in a disability parking. These parkings are not just closer to the door, they are also wider to accommodate a wheelchair or walking aid. So let's leave our laziness at home and let others, who really need that area, have access to it!

Today, 20 March, we raise awareness for those living with head injuries.

Whilst it is most definately a life changing event, it does not define who one is, and, like Mr L in the image below, it does not let it dull his beautiful smile. With patience and a good rehab team, one can still continue to contribute as an active member in society and make a difference to those around them.

April is Parkinson's Disease Awareness Month with today, the 11th of April being World Parkinson's Disease Awareness Day. We acknowledge all those who are diagnosed and living with this neurological disease.

In the video below, Jimmy emphasizes not only the importance of staying fit and healthy, but the importance of a positive mental attitude. In his own words, Parkinson's is not a death sentence, just something else he has learnt to live with and conquer!
