2025 – WHAT A YEAR!!
And so we came to the end of the training year with just a few people still joining me for the last week – the rest of you should feel very rested by now.
What a year we all had – good performances inside and outside of gym, lots of injuries, lots of stress, some very good personal bests, some brilliant consistency & perseverance through all the up and downs.
I am a very proud trainer thanking you all for this year – for making use of my services, for being consistent in working towards the goals you set for yourself – for being part of my life and for giving me the opportunity to fulfil what I see as my purpose – to love & help people, showing them their own potential & strength no matter what life throw their way – I am VERY VERY PROUD OF YOU ALL!!
As usual, I will highlight some of the top performers –
As for weight-loss on the scale, most of those that had it as a goal had positive results, however two “outsiders” are on top of the list – MARLENE & RYAN – CONGRATULATIONS TO THE TWO OF YOU – now to hang on to/add muscle and keep going with focus on consistency.
As for most bodyfat% loss, MARLENE, LORRAINE & JOHN (74) take the lead – a BIG CONGRATULATIONS TO YOU ALL – keep up the good work/consistency.
As for most lean muscle mass gained, the top performers are JOHN again, MATT & JAROD – A VERY BIG CONGRATS TO YOU ALL – I foresee another good year for you all if you can keep the nutrition part on par – WELL DONE!
I want to congratulate all my females that no longer fear heavier weights as they all improved tremendously – STRONG WOMEN!!
I also want to focus attention on MIKE & FRIK – two men that through the years manage to maintain at a very high level – fitness, strength, lean muscle mass and low bodyfat – no matter injuries or up/downs of life they keep performing at the high level – we are very thankful for what their bodies allow them to do – CONGRATULATIONS!
MATT, one of my 20-something crowd, manage to add some lean muscle mass while keeping bodyfat around 9% and becoming the 2025 National OR3 Cross Country champion! CONGRATULATIONS MATT – NOW EAT & FUEL CONSISTENTLY TO GET WHAT YOU WANT!!
Also, special mention to JAROD – a very very strong young man in his prime that is giving his all to build a strong physique with great success. He is a natural athlete that added a lot of lean mass on his frame this year with big focus on nutrition and high level training – not anybody that can add 8.5kg with only a 0.23% increase in bodyfat!
He also achieved several PB this year – to name but a few –
Squat 120kg*2 reps
Deadlift 150kg*6 reps
D/Bell Chest Press 47.5kg*4 reps
Alt D/Bell Curls 27.5kg*16 reps
Seated O/Bar
Behind Neck 65kg*10reps
Proper Dips 30kg*6 reps
Seated Hammer Curls 22kg*6 reps
Seated Shoulder Press 35kg*4 reps
D/Bell overhead Tricep 50kg*6 reps
Single Arm Rows 60kg*6 reps
CONGRATS JAROD! ALL THIS WHILE DOING EXAMS AND STILL …. LOTS MORE POTENTIAL IN THE TANK!!!
I can’t neglect mentioning JOHN CHAPMAN again – came to me at 74 yrs of age, never done resistance training and love cookies and eating out (haha) BUT he had the right attitude, “I don’t want to be weak” – the man excel, track his nutrition, push hard and gained a lot of strength. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK MISTER AND YOU WILL BE AN 80 YRS OLD TO RECON WITH!!
My “mature’ males are really inspiring – another one is JONATHAN – also 74, dealing with neuropathy and health issues but he gives his all when he is in the gym regardless his condition or feeling on a given day – VERY PROUD OF YOU SIR!!
As mentioned, – I am very proud of you all and look forward to what 2026 will hold for you all –
FOCUS ON TRAINING, PROPER NUTRITION, REST – CONSISTENTLY
THAT IS THE NAME OF THE IMPROVE PERFORMANCE GAME!
I THANK YOU FOR A GOOD YEAR –
HOPE TO SEE YOU ALL IN 2026 GOD’S WILLING!!
BE BLESSED – BE SAFE
