And inverted ni**le, innie, is simply a ni**le going inward and not protruding, an outie.
This inversion is due to shorter milk ducts or other tissue formations from fetal development. This is often the case if both ni**les are affected from birth.
Or
Scar tissue from breast surgery, breastfeeding, or injury can pull the ni**le inward.
Or
Puberty, pregnancy, and breastfeeding can cause changes in ni**le shape due to hormonal fluctuations and breast engorgement.
๐จ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, this does not need to define your breastfeeding journey. As it is BREASTfeeding, ๐๐๐ NIPPLEfeeding.
Some things that can assist in getting an optimal latch, so that no bruising happens and that baby can get the best chance for nursing:

๐ฟWorking on an ๐ฆ๐น๐ข๐จ๐จ๐ฆ๐ณ๐ข๐ต๐ฆ๐ฅ ๐ญ๐ข๐ต๐ค๐ฉ and good ๐ฑ๐ฐ๐ด๐ช๐ต๐ช๐ฐ๐ฏ๐ช๐ฏ๐จ.
๐ฟOr, using a ๐๐ฐ๐ญ๐ฅ ๐ค๐ฐ๐ฎ๐ฑ๐ณ๐ฆ๐ด๐ด before every feed, to help the ni**le protrude.
