Dear patients, as per the announcement last week. Dr F. G. Wesso is working alternate weeks in Bloemfontein whilst he completes a contractual duty in Mpumalanga. During these alternate weeks Dr Jennifer Colling will be at the practice to be of service!

Hours of operation:
Monday - Friday: 09:00 - 13:00 and 14:00 - 18:00
Saturday: 09:00 - 13:00

Dear patients:

As mentioned in my previous post, I will be working in alternate weeks at the practice in Bloemfontein due to contractual duty in Mpumalanga until the end of March.

I am proud to introduce my former colleague in Surgery and friend, Dr Jennifer Colling! She studied at the University of the Free State and finished her degree in 2012. She has worked in various practices in Bloemfontein and the majority of her time in the Free State Academic complex (Universitas, Pelonomi, National Hospital and 3 Military Hospital), where she was appointed as a registrar in General Surgery. She is ATLS qualified as well. In her off-time she enjoys the outdoors with her dogs, painting and playing tennis!

Dr Colling will be available at the practice at 84 Sonneblom street, Heidedal, fomerly known as Dr. EGB Katzen. We look forward to be at your service at all operating times!

Dear patients, we are pleased to introduce Dr F. G. Wesso as the successor of the late Dr E.G.B. Katzen. Dr Wesso is well acquainted with the practice and the broader Bloemfontein community.

As from today 11 January 2021 the practice is being taken over by Dr Wesso.

Dr Ferdi Wesso is originally from Great Brak River in the Southern Cape and moved to Bloemfontein in 1996. He studied at the Univeristy of the Free State and finished his M.B.ch.B degree in 2007. He has worked at various practices in the city of Bloemfontein including Mediclinic ER, Tempe and Medicross as well as a 2 year stint in the rural areas of the Northern Cape and Mpumalanga. In his former career he was a professional rugby player, he played 47 games for the Free State Currie Cup team between 1998 - 2002 and later became the the team Doctor for the senior Cheetahs Rugby team.

During his off time Dr Wesso is a keen golfer and family man, he has two kids - Caleb (10) and Ciara (8).

Thank you most sincerely for your support during Dr Enver Katzen’s illness and passing.

We are pleased to announce that Dr Nyengelela Muleba is our locum doctor who is continuing the service. He completed his MBCHB at Kinshasa University and has worked in several different countries, he has been practising in South Africa for the past 18 years.

Higher diploma in internal medicine at College of Medicine South Africa
ICU trained
He is married, has 3 children and his wife is also a medical doctor.
He finished his medical school at Kinshasa University in 1982, upon graduation he worked in regional and tertiary hospitals in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Swaziland and South Africa before moving into general practice.

Current operating hours
Reception is avaiable Monday to Friday from 09:00 to 15:00 to take appointments and deal with queries. Dr Muleba works Moday's, Tuesday's, Thursday's and Friday's 09:00 - 15:00.
