March is Endometriosis Awareness Month 💛
Endometriosis is a chronic condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterus, causing inflammation, pain, and in some cases, fertility challenges. It affects 1 in 10 women of reproductive age — yet many suffer in silence for years before receiving a diagnosis.
Common symptoms may include:
• Severe menstrual cramps that interfere with daily life
• Chronic pelvic pain
• Pain during or after in*******se
• Heavy or irregular menstrual bleeding
• Painful bowel movements or urination during menstruation
• Difficulty falling pregnant
• Fatigue, bloating, and nausea
Endometriosis is more than “just bad period pain.” Early diagnosis and appropriate management can significantly improve quality of life.
Treatment options depend on individual symptoms and reproductive goals and may include:
• Pain management and anti-inflammatory medication
• Hormonal therapy to suppress endometrial growth
• Minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery
• Fertility treatment where necessary
If you are experiencing ongoing pelvic pain or symptoms that disrupt your life, please don’t ignore them. You deserve to be heard, supported, and treated with care.
💛 Let’s raise awareness.
💛 Let’s support those living with endometriosis.
💛 Let’s break the silence.
