World Stroke Day 2025 | Step by Step Towards Recovery

At Emoyamed Bloemfontein, in collaboration with GreyMil Rehab and our Emoyamed Rehab we celebrate the courage of stroke survivors and the dedication of our rehabilitation team.

This month, we reflect on the incredible progress made through specialized stroke rehabilitation — like our recent Walking Recovery Workshop, led by our Emoyamed and GreyMil teams, with support from experts Serena Lee and Estelle Buys.

Every step matters — in science, in skill, and in heart. Together, we help stroke survivors regain mobility, independence, and hope. 💪

National Stroke Week | 28 Oct – 3 Nov

At Emoyamed Bloemfontein, we stand united in raising awareness about stroke — a medical emergency that can change a life in seconds.

This week, we remind our community that every minute counts. Recognizing the signs early can save a life and improve recovery outcomes.

Remember the FAST test:
⚡ Face – Is one side drooping?
⚡ Arms – Can both arms be raised?
⚡ Speech – Is speech slurred or strange?
⚡ Time – Call 112 (from a cellphone) or 107 (from a landline) immediately.

At Emoyamed Rehabilitation Hospital, we are committed to helping stroke patients regain their independence and quality of life through specialized, multidisciplinary stroke rehabilitation care.
