16 Days of Activism: Digital Violence (Reminder)

As the 16 Days of Activism continue (25 Nov – 10 Dec), the spotlight remains on ending digital violence against women and girls. Online abuse, such as image-based abuse, cyberstalking, harassment, and deepfakes, disproportionately affects women and often leads to real‑life harm.
Take action: share learnings, support survivors, demand better policies, host digital safety dialogues, and promote allyship. Let's make our digital spaces safer for all.

16 Days of Activism: Digital Violence

From 25 November to 10 December, we mark the 16 Days of Activism to End Violence against Women and Children. The 2025 theme, “UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls”, calls out online abuse as a growing human rights crisis.

Digital violence includes non‑consensual image sharing, harassment, trolling, deepfakes, doxxing, and online stalking. These acts often spill into physical harm. This campaign urges visible action, education, legal reform, survivor support, male allyship, and community mobilisation. Wear or display orange as a symbol of hope and resistance.

This month invites all of us to act: remove barriers, improve the quality of life, and support full participation for people with disabilities. The Department of Women, Youth and People with Disabilities leads this mission to drive equality, equity, and empowerment.
