What an incredible weekend representing Promed24 at the Cape Town Cycle Tour - one of the most iconic cycling events in the world!

Our team took on the 109 km route around the beautiful Cape Peninsula, from the breathtaking climbs of Chapman’s Peak to the challenge of Suikerbossie. It was a day filled with teamwork, determination and plenty of unforgettable moments.

A big congratulations to all our riders who proudly wore the Promed24 colours and showed what our team spirit is all about.

When is it just "a headache" and when do we need to seek medical attention?
Some headaches may be a symptom of dehydration, stress, poor sleep, muscle tension, or even infection and illness.
Seek medical help when your headaches lead to nausea and vomiting, loss of vision and balance, or weakness and confusion.
If you experience intense headaches that do not go away with pain medication, please visit a doctor! Look after yourself - it might not be "just stress".

💧 Your body is asking for water.

Dehydration isn’t just about feeling thirsty.
It can affect concentration, energy levels, kidneys and heart function, especially in children, older adults and busy professionals.

🚨 Warning signs to watch for:
• Fatigue
• Headache
• Dizziness
• Dark urine
• Reduced urine output

💡 Simple rule:
If you’re not urinating regularly, your body is asking for help.

Stay hydrated. It’s one of the simplest forms of preventative care. 💙

Hand, Foot & Mouth Disease (HFMD) is a common viral illness, most often caused by the Coxsackie virus. It mainly affects young children and spreads easily in crèches and schools.

Common symptoms include:
Fever and sore throat
Small blisters on the hands and feet
Painful mouth sores that can make eating and drinking difficult

What parents can do:
Keep your child well hydrated
Use pain and fever medication as advised
Encourage good hand hygiene
Keep children at home while unwell to prevent spread

🚨 Seek medical care urgently if your child:
Is very drowsy or lethargic
Refuses fluids or has reduced urine output
Has a persistent high fever
Shows signs of dehydration or worsening symptoms

Most children recover fully within 7 to 10 days.

💙 If you’re unsure or concerned, rather have your child assessed.
