For the past decade, it has been our honour to walk alongside women and families through pregnancy, birth, and the early days of parenthood, holding space with compassion, care, and expertise every step of the way.

Estherea’s Antenatal Evening Classes – Starting Wednesday, 8 April at 18:00

We are excited to open registrations for our next round of antenatal evening classes.

These sessions are thoughtfully designed to help you and your partner feel informed, prepared, and confident for the journey ahead. Topics include birth preparation, practical skills, pain management options, breastfeeding, newborn care, and postnatal recovery.

Presented in a warm and supportive environment, our classes offer a safe space to learn, ask questions, and connect with other expectant parents.

Cost: R150 per couple per class OR R1150 for all 9 classes when paid upfront.

This week we celebrate the heart of gentle, supported birth 🤍

In honour of World Doula Week, we recognise the incredible role doulas play in walking alongside families through pregnancy, birth, and the early days beyond.

A doula offers more than just support. She brings calm in the unknown, strength in vulnerable moments, and reassurance when it’s needed most. Through every contraction, every breath, and every first cry, she is a steady presence reminding mothers: you are not alone.

At Estherea, we are deeply grateful for the doulas who pour their hearts into caring for our families with compassion, respect, and unwavering dedication.

Eunice Old Girl, Sr Sandra Smith (nee Venter), Matric Class of 2006, addressed our Eunice ladies during a special assembly on the topic of “Caring for your future self by caring for yourself today.”

She studied B.Soc.Sc Nursing and graduated in 2010.
She specialises as a midwife at Estherea Women’s Clinic.

Explore the birth process, practical preparation for labour, comfort measures and pain management, partner support, and how to make informed (not fear-based) decisions.
