Our newly restructured Estherea Antenatal Workshops are coming up soon, and we would love to welcome you and your partner. 💗

Instead of one long, overwhelming day, we now gather over two relaxed Saturday mornings — creating space to truly absorb, reflect, ask questions, and feel supported.

🌸 28 February – Birth Preparation & Labour
Practical preparation, comfort measures, pain management, partner support, and making calm, informed decisions.

🌸 7 March – Postnatal Care & Breastfeeding
Recovery after birth, newborn care, breastfeeding guidance, and settling gently into life with your baby.

These sessions are led by trusted midwives in a warm, supportive setting & designed to help you move from uncertainty to confidence.

Eunice Old Girl, Sr Sandra Smith (nee Venter), Matric Class of 2006, addressed our Eunice ladies during a special assembly on the topic of “Caring for your future self by caring for yourself today.”

She studied B.Soc.Sc Nursing and graduated in 2010.
She specialises as a midwife at Estherea Women’s Clinic.

To better support you and your partner during this important season, our antenatal workshop has been gently restructured. Instead of one full-day workshop, the content is now offered over two relaxed Saturday mornings, creating more space for learning, reflection, meaningful discussion, and rest.

🌸 Saturday 28 Feb: Birth Preparation & Labour
Explore the birth process, practical preparation for labour, comfort measures and pain management, partner support, and how to make informed (not fear-based) decisions.

🌸 Saturday 7 March: Postnatal Care & Breastfeeding
A focus on recovery after birth, newborn care, breastfeeding support, and settling into life with your baby.

By splitting the workshop, information can be absorbed more gently, questions can unfold naturally, and families leave feeling grounded, confident, and supported.

On 24 December 2025, in the middle of the day, while the world hurried through last-minute Christmas shopping, preparing meals and wrapping presents, time slowed down for Rhodé and Ockert.

This pregnancy had been a journey marked by change. Moving towns, finding stability, trusting God through uncertainty... all while growing a tiny life. And then, on Christmas Eve, God placed this promise directly into their arms.
Their firstborn.
Their greatest gift.

At 12:02, baby Dinesse entered the world through sensitive Caesarean section, surrounded by peace and overwhelmed with joy. Dinesse arrived strong and perfect!
Weight 3.5 kg
Length 50 cm
Head circumference 35 cm

A Beautiful reminder that God’s design lacks nothing. Almost immediately, she latched and breastfed like a champion.
Ockert stood close, grounded and present, while Rhodé stepped into motherhood with a quiet strength that filled the room. You could feel it, this family had finally arrived home, not in a place, but in one another.

A Christmas Eve birth marked by peace, faith, and God’s perfect timing.

Today, 19 December, is our last day for consultations before we take a short festive pause. As always, this time of year feels extra special - we have a few Christmas and New Year's babies due, and our hearts are full with excitement and anticipation 🤍

We’ll be resuming consultations on 5 January, refreshed and ready for a new year ahead.

As we reflect on the year that’s been, we want to say thank you to every family who trusted us, every mama who shared her journey with us, and every tiny miracle who made this year unforgettable. What a privilege it is to walk this path with you.
