This video forms part of my ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as a psychological therapist undertaking Stage Two training in Health Psychology (BPS, UK).
In this presentation, I explore the relationship between the mind and body through a neurobiological lens, drawing on key ideas from Robert Sapolsky’s work in *Behave*. The aim is to deepen understanding of how biological processes, such as brain function, stress responses, and neurochemical activity, interact with psychological and environmental factors to shape human behaviour.
By integrating these perspectives, the video highlights how a more comprehensive understanding of the mind–body connection can support more effective therapeutic formulation and behaviour change. This includes recognising how past experiences, physiological states, and contextual influences contribute to present patterns of thinking, feeling, and responding.
This content is intended for reflective learning and professional development, particularly for those working within psychological, therapeutic, or health-related fields.
I hope you find the video informative and thought-provoking. Feedback and suggestions are very welcome as I continue to develop and refine my practice.
