Yes I signed the petition.
Yes I changed my profile picture.
Yes I helped spread awareness.

Not because it was a trend but because every single one of us has been impacted by Gender Based Violence in one way or another.

As a Medical Practitioner I have seen and treated the most horrific injuries in my fellow women:
Physical Assault, R**e, Child R**e, Backdoor Abortions, Pregnancy Battery and worst of all- Attempted Murder (yes I’ve treated gunshot wounds in women)

And while I remained professional throughout all these cases- I cried with you on the inside, wondering what a sick world we live in.

Today we finally got the attention we so desperately needed. Thanks to we can finally speak up about this crisis and force the changes we need to protect our women and children.

Today I feel proud to stand with all of you 💜
