“Preoperative dietitian-led calorie-restricted diet: impact on left hepatic lobe volume and laparoscopic upper GIT surgery visibility.”

This important research demonstrates how a dietitian-led preoperative protocol can significantly reduce left hepatic lobe volume, thereby improving intraoperative visibility and surgical outcomes ✨

Spotted these new on the shelf and had to try them! Yes, rice cakes are light and low-calorie ✨ … but here’s the catch 👉 they’re high GI and contain very little fibre, meaning they can spike your blood sugar and leave you hungry soon after.

✅ The good news? You can balance it out! Pairing rice cakes with protein and healthy fats (like cheese, nut butter, hummus, or even eggs) helps lower the GI, keep you fuller for longer, and turn it into a smarter snack choice.

Tell me you’re a dietician without telling me you’re a dietician…Ran out the door in a rush, shoved two boiled eggs in my pocket, and completely forgot about them — until I reached for a pen in ICU and nearly had a heart attack. Luckily they were boiled 😅🥚
