World Antimicrobial Resistance Awareness Week (WAAW) is observed from 18 – 24 November 2025.
The theme for WAAW 2025 is “Act Now: Protect Our Present, Secure Our Future.”
Antimicrobial resistance occurs when bacteria, fungi and parasites no longer respond to antibiotics , making infections difficult to treat. Speak to your pharmacists about how to handle antibiotics and avoid misuse that may result in antimicrobial resistance.
