HONESTLY, this is the best pillow ever!!

I used it when I had my surgery, and am now o sensed and will never sleep without it!

I used to wake up with neck pain every morning, sometimes the pain would actually wake me.
Now I don’t! I sleep better, always have a pillow for between my knees (no more back pain) and it is been such a game changer for me!!

SHOULDER UPDATE

So yes, still getting stronger. I keep thinking I am at 80% strong and then a few weeks later I think “ok now I am 80%”

Big moment today - a few weeks ago I tried hanging and shoulder was sore and couldn’t hold for even a second. I think it was more because it was a completely new movement and load.

Today mashed 15 sec hold!!!!🙌🙌🙌 long way to go to get to a minute but it’s a start and so happy with where strength is 🙏

When you add strength training to a Pilates practice, one perform the moves better.
They control load more easily.
They move with more confidence.
The exercises feel more accessible instead of harder.
This does not require a gym.
You can lift weights.
Or you can intentionally bias strength using Pilates equipment.
It works both ways.
Pilates also improves strength training.
It develops segmental mobility of the spine and other joints.
It challenges control in multiple planes of movement.
That combination matters.
But Pilates is not a replacement for strength training.
Pilates.
And strength training is not a replacement for pilates.
Both are important - both improve how your body feels and moves - an together the creat a strong, mobile, injury free body

I am doing my own strength training program HEAT🔥 on my app and loving it - getting stronger and building muscle, and it has a pilates foundation. Along side my pilates I do almost every day - I am building myself back up after surgery last year

YAY SO EXCITED!!! A group walk in Newlands forest - my favourite place!!

Come join me and friends for a hike - gentle, a few hills, all paces welcome, and we will regroup and just have fun and chat and learn the paths and route and get fit together ❤️

And bring your mat for some@pilates afterwards

Friendly dogs welcome - please keep control of your dogs and make sure they love people and dogs

So the jury is out 😂😂

BIA FIRST SUNDAYS - hike OR pilates in the park

OR…… Both?

So I would love to get to meet you all, share my love of nature with you - the idea of a group hike is to meet, chat, walk and explore more of the mountain - starting gently - and most i@oortbat is being SAFE

I would also love to share what we do in our pilates classes - and offer free class in different outdoor locations.

But maybe both is the way forward - it is completely flexible and happy to change as we grow ❤️
