Know your rights 🧑🏾‍⚖️💥

S***m donation is completely legal and done 100% anonymously. Recipients ONLY see the “Donor Alias” that contains limited information about your appearance.

Additionally there are many laws and regulations that protect you. Everything is covered and governed by the National Health Act (Act no 61 of 2003) as well as an ethical body called SASREG that regulates and oversees everything.

The law in South Africa allows for financial compensation for your time and travel costs, and will not pay for any tests associated with the process. According to South African law, an s***m donor may not have more than 6 children born from their donated s***m. These laws protect you, the donor, as well as the recipient.
