Do you find that you do so well with your healthy eating all week but always fall for "just one drink" on Friday that ends up being a boozy weekend?

When you know you are intentionally restricting your alcohol intake for health & weightloss reasons, good on you babes πŸ₯³

But never feel the need to justify yourself to anyone‼️

Everyone is entitled to their own journeys, their own opinions & own decisions

So never let your friends or colleagues decisions impact your own, or feel the need to justify why your own decisions are now different from what used to be the norm

The moment you anticipate having to justify yourself, you'll most probably find it easier to "go with the flow"... Then 1 glass becomes 1 bottle, and then you know how the story goes πŸ˜”

Instead, if you approach your health & weightloss decisions as just that - your own personal decision - then your "no" needs no further explaining πŸ’ƒπŸΎ

Besides, we're all adults here. Just say what you mean & mean what you say.

There are only 3 keys to make this work for you in the simplest way possible:

πŸ— Keep breakfast repeatable
πŸ‘‰πŸ½ Oats is easy to create a variety of breakfasts with, using different fruit every morning

πŸ— Chop a variety of raw veggies as a base for lunch & supper
πŸ‘‰πŸ½ Always try to eat the rainbow. Feel free to add easy-to-cook veggies (like mixed veg) or pickled veggies (like beets)

πŸ— Use different starches for different meals
πŸ‘‰πŸ½ Something easy to cook (like pasta or couscous) or something ready-made in advance (like breyani that's packed with lentils & spiced to perfection)

But most people ask all the wrong questions when wanting to achieve weightloss:

❌ How many calories do I need to eat?
❌ How big should my portions be?
❌ How much exercise must I do?

The only question you should be asking is:

❓ Which food is naturally made for good health & weightloss? (cause you want both, right?)

The answer to that is simple:

Food that comes from this plant 🌱, and not this plant 🏭.

πŸ‘ŽπŸ½The less you'll be worried about calories, portion sizes, exercise for weightloss, meal replacements, eating according to the clock & all the other tricks in the book!

Nothing is more frustrating than wondering why all your efforts to go hard in the gym, intermittent fast & portion control are all not working 😭

You're complicating a simple process

🚫 eating mainly calorie rich foods whilst trying to lose weight = working backwards
🚫 regardless of how much you try to control your portions & over exercise, the fat content in this food is very high
🚫 & fat tends to store as fat in your body

Instead, you should

We tend to focus a lot on the calories in our food, and almost forget that drinks also have calories... Sometimes a little too many!

So making these small swaps in winter can help you stay warm & hydrated for much fewer calories

But if you're not into tea generally, you can:

β˜• Use milk instead of creamers
β˜• Skip the fancy toppings, or
β˜• Try flavored teas - there are plenty out there!

Do you want to live a more plantbased lifestyle but find it "so expensive"?

You're probably equating your plantbased shopping to

πŸ’₯ strictly organic outlets
πŸ’₯ boutique health stores, or
πŸ’₯ high-end, branded supermarkets.

In that case, it's your taste, your preference, your mindset that is expensiveπŸ’²

But it's definitely not the food πŸ₯¦

Next time you go shopping for fruits, veggies, beans & legumes or a variety of grains, try out these places

πŸ‘‰πŸ½ (their prices are generally very affordable but they have insane specials like today - peep my stories to see my grocery haul πŸ‘€)

πŸ‘‰πŸ½ local Asian supermarkets (they have the widest variety of affordable Asian foods like tofu, edemame beans, sauerkraut, seaweed, rice paper, various kinds of rice & noodles, all the soy sauces & other condiments you probably didn't know exist)

I fell for the "vegan = automatic weightloss" trend myself when I first shifted to a plantbased lifestyle

🀭 Cause I thought vegan food has magic calories

πŸ’‘ But before we get into that, always remember the labels mean absolutely nothing for weightloss

πŸ”– Whether it's labeled "healthy", "vegan", "plantbased", "low fat" or "zero calories" doesn't matter if it's not getting you into a calorie deficit

For example:

πŸ‘‰πŸ½ cream is cream, whether it's dairy πŸ₯› or coconut πŸ₯₯ cream, it's very rich with fats & is not weightloss friendly

πŸ‘‰πŸ½ crisps are crisps, whether it's a non-vegan Lays bag or a vegan Doritos packet, they're all packed with calories

πŸ‘‰πŸ½ cheese is cheese, whether it's dairy-based πŸ§€ or nut-based 🌰, it's still calorie rich

πŸ‘™ So if it's weightloss you're after, you only need to ask yourself one question when choosing the food you'll eat:

❓Is it low in calorie density?

And the easiest way to figure that out is by asking:

Is it made from a plant 🌱 or is it made in a plant 🏭?

Convincing yourself that you needed to do any of these things before you can start your weightloss journey:

❌ "Wait until you're mentally ready"
❌ "Just get the basics right first"
❌ "Work on your mindset, then start"

This is the perfect recipe for failure - cause you achieve NOTHING by waiting πŸ’£

Instead
