FQA:
What type of massage do you do?

At Therapeutic Studio, we don’t stick to one type of massage. We practise therapeutic massage therapy (tmt), which means each session is tailored to your body, your needs, and your goals.

Whether you’re dealing with tension, injury, stress, pregnancy, or chronic pain — we assess what’s going on and work with the appropriate techniques, pressure, and approach to support your healing.

✨ It’s not about fitting you into a style — it’s about listening to your body and working with it.

📍That’s what therapeutic care is all about.

Our therapist is AHPCSA registered.
You can claim from selected Medical Aids for your TMT treatment

✨ Same name, different story. ✨
Adolescent Idiopathic Scoliosis (AIS) typically develops during growth spurts in teens between the ages pf 10 - 18 years. These often present without pain, but can progress progressively over a short period of time if not addressed.
Focusing on the posutre to minimise progression is vital.

Adult Degenerative Scoliosis is the progression of that curve—or newly noticed—later in life, often with added stiffness, discomfort, or pain due to spinal degeneration.
In these cases the pain is addressed first and treated to minimise progession.

Understanding the difference is key to effective care and movement support at every stage of life.

Recognising the Signs of Scoliosis
Scoliosis often presents as:
✔️ Uneven shoulders or hips
✔️ A visible spinal curve
✔️ Prominence of one shoulder blade
✔️ Clothing hanging unevenly
✔️ Leaning to one side

Early identification is key to effective management and treatment. If you or someone you know is showing these signs, consider a professional assessment.
