My most beautiful and longstanding client brought me back this exquisite soap back from her travels in Italy. I don't think I've ever smelt something more wonderful in my life. If ever someone wanted to try and bribe me for something - this would be top of the list of corruptors - that - and cheese :) Of course Nesti Dante have kept the perfume ingredients secret, but I definitely smell sandalwood in the mix! It's evoked the smells of monasteries, hamlets, rural estates, hay lofts and forests beautifully - all aromas I can imagine you would catch from a train window travelling across Tuscany. Hats off to “Emozioni in Toscana” whose range of artisanal soaps are produced in Florence in the best Italian soapmaking tradition. The basic paste, in fact, is obtained through a slow and complex process, in special boilers, which lasts four days and requires the constant presence and meticulous manual supervision of soap and perfume experts.

I was in the garden this morning with Baby Lucy and she reaches out to the lavender bush and says 'My Flowers', grabs a head of lavender and takes a deep breath in to smell the beautiful fragrance. The bees weren't too happy being interrupted from their daily toil but she was :-) Love my munchkin x
