This stayed with me after hearing Zohran Mamdani in a street interview. I don’t even remember the question — but his answer landed deep:
“No matter what you do, make sure you can recognise yourself in the mirror.”
To me, this means staying true to your values as life changes and you grow. It’s about choosing integrity over approval, alignment over applause.
So when I say:
“I am gracefully riding the wave of change,”
I’m reminding myself that growth doesn’t have to cost me my authenticity. I can evolve, expand, and succeed without becoming someone I don’t recognise.
Real power is becoming more of who you are, not less.
