💜Advocacy was definitely the theme of the day. The discussion held to improve access to HPV vaccine and addressing all the challenges across Africa showed we had more in common.

💜Connecting with Colleagues and sharing our experiences when working with survivors of Gynecologic Cancer has been inspiring.

💜Thank you to those who Travellers who visited Cape Town to learn and share, this is what it is all about

✨️Day 2 of the International Gynecologic Cancer Society conference and Annual Global Meeting ✨️

🌱from heated debates about care management to many surgical videos,day 2 did not disappoint.
🌱there is a call for more focus on survivorship management,the life beyond the surgery,chemo and radiation

🎉My highlight of the day,show and tell. I took the pelvic model and dilators and few other items along to share how we as physiotherapists can help patient. Most Healthcare practitioners, doctors and nurses, are not always comfortable discussing s3xual function for various reasons. Women are provided with dilators and sent home in the hope that they are able to use it correctly.

🌈My hope, more women will receive the help they need to thrive now that they have survived cancer💜

💜 Day 1 at the International Gynecologic Cancer Society 2025 Annual Global Meeting💜

✨️The day was spent learning about the various surgeries, medication and complications.
✨️The opportunity to meet and learn about current practice in other countries, there appears to be a global shortage of pelvic floor physiotherapists .
✨️The network for nursing and allied health practitioners was a small group,welcoming and engaging. We shared our experiences and left in awe of what each practitioner does and barriers they have in the countries they come from.

💡We discovered, we were the only 3 physiotherapists in attendance of the conference. We enjoyed explaining to the people we chatted to about the role of Physiotherapy beyond the hospital care. May this spark more awareness for future conferences.

💕Thank you to my folks,for coming to the rescue when mom and dad have to work outside of business hours🎉

From to to , this conference has continued to surprise me. I look forward to sharing all that I am learning.

✨️Breast Cancer Awareness month is here. Show your support by wearing a pink ribbon or...go bold in a pink item. Losing someone to breast cancer is heartbreaking. Today, I choose to smile in memory of you and all the time we had together. I hold you in my heart and support those newly diagnosed, going through treatment and those who are living with the scars.

✨️Thank you for the invitation to speak to a room filled with ladies in honor of
✨️It was a beautiful morning along the coast,just enough to see the mountain and enjoy the ocean sounds
✨️Sound bowls and chairs yoga is a must if you have not tried it
✨️We had a good laugh about female finance,it was great to have a softer approach albeit honest
✨️I am ready to be more brave thanks to the fearless workshop presented
✨️remember living in higher levels of stress is no good for your health,more so as a woman as it affects our hormones
