Hello new friends of AnelO.

I haven't stopped making organic goodies. It's just been a devastating few months. My beloved Mother, who is the reason I am into the green life and maker culture - passed away suddenly in November.

She would want me to carry on fighting the good fight, and I will. As soon as I can muster the energy.

Do you make soap? Check out this cool calculator that let's you throw in the ingredients and then tells you how much of what you need. My supplier sold me the wrong lye and my first attempts bombed fabulously. But today...today I am busy with a batch that is going to work! It's 60% cocoa butter and 40% virgin coconut oil. And a bit of rose water. Yum!

And please, buy artisan soap! It's made with love and great ingredients. Or make soap. Commercial soaps have yucky ingredients and the soap giants wipe out rain forests to plant palm trees for palm oil. That sh&t is just wrong!

This year I've come to the realisation that in life and in business, one must operate from WHY. Why must we switch to the best nature has to offer when we eat for example? Simply because we are honouring our body's natural biochemistry. Our bodies want and need fresh, organic, vibrant food. Not pesticides and Franken food cooked up in a lab by unscrupulous profit-chasers!

WHY does AnelO make and sell organic skincare, home care and personal items? Because 'crunchy' products vibrate with our natural biochemistry, do us ZERO harm and their waste is absorbed back into the earth. From where the cycle continues.

Next time you purchase a fluoridated toothpaste, for example - ask yourself WHY you would stimulate an industry that uses mining waste as it's star ingredient and then lies about the dangers associated with ingesting that rubbish.
